    Yes, those are still very beautiful stairs. They are also comfortable. It seemed that there has been a soft carpet on the stairs 100 years ago, during the imperial period.

    I was told that the city is responsible for the repairs of the stairs, not the owners of the buildings. Even fine buildings like that one have horrible halls and stairs - behind an iron door.:)
